DESCRIPTION:The NYC Department of Small Business Services will be hosting a Locally Based Enterprise (LBE) Certification workshop for construction businesses only. \nTo be eligible for LBE Certification\, a business must be: \n\nA for-profit business (i.e. Sole Proprietorship\, General Partnership\, Limited Partnership\, Limited Liability Partnership\, Limited Liability Company or Corporation. Note: Nonprofit organizations are not eligible for LBE certification.\nAuthorized to do business in New York State.\nPerforming at least 25% of its work performed on construction projects located in economic development areas in New York City\, or employ a workforce of which at least 25% are economically disadvantaged persons.\nReceived gross receipts in the last three or fewer tax years averaging $2 million or less on an annual basis.
