Worker Cooperative Initiative 10th Anniversary Celebration – Virtual

The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) invites you to join us in celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Worker Cooperative Business Development Initiative (WCBDI).
The WCBDI is a joint effort of SBS, the City of New York, and New York City Council, that offers innovative ways for New Yorkers to overcome economic and social inequality by supporting the development of worker cooperatives. Worker cooperatives are businesses that are owned and controlled by their workers (worker-owners). Worker cooperatives give New Yorkers the opportunity to co-own a business, creating sustainable and dignified jobs while developing community wealth.
The event will feature a panel discussion where you will hear inspiring stories from cooperative members, reflections on the journey of the program, as well as the challenges and opportunities in scaling the adoption of the worker cooperative model.
